I received my confirmation number AND scheduled pickup date, but my approved items were not collected - what do I do?
Please log into your CityGrows account, when you get to your dashboard, click on your submission, then click on the discussion feature to submit your concern to the City of Erie Refuge team.
If I just put my items out without a request, will the City collect them?
No, you have to submit a request. Setting items out without a confirmation number or on other times is considered illegal dumping and violators will receive a citation. All other Recycling & Refuse guidelines remain in effect.
Will the City collect large appliances?
No - we do not collect Large Appliances (washers, dryers, stoves, refrigerators, hot water tanks, air conditioners, etc.)
Will the City collect tires?
No - we do not collect automotive parts.
How many items can I have on one request?
You can request to have up to three (3) items collected. If you have more than that, please complete an additional request.
When I submit my request, does that mean it's scheduled for my next trash night?
No, your request is not scheduled until you receive your confirmation number and scheduled pick up date. Please do not assume that your items will be collected on your next trash night, sometimes we schedule as far as three weeks out if demand is high. Our trucks have a limited number of pick ups each day/night.
Is there a fee to get Large Items picked up?
No, the City of Erie offers this service for free.
