Step type: Assign someone

For many government processes, there’s a need for a staff member to review information that’s been submitted by a constituent or by someone from another department. You can use the “Assign someone” type of step to make sure that the right people see the information and move the process forward. For example, one specific person in the Recreation and Parks department may get assigned to each permit, to make sure that the applications moves forward quickly. The process can’t go forward until the person assigned to each step has completed it.

You use the "Assign someone" step type to assign a specific person in your organization to each instance of your process.
