| Describe your idea and how it can help Santa Monica | I have a vision for neighbor to neighbor sharing across a broad spectrum of ideas and activities that rests upon the foundation of the creation of a new app that allows residents of various zipcodes (Santa Monica based) to log in and spend time in a virtual town hall environment. As almost all have access currently to video cameras on their smart phones, I would like to pioneer a cross city and cross cultural social media platform that encourages the incredible stake holders in the world's greatest city (Santa Monica, of course!) to meet one another via video and begin dialogues that bring us all closer together. We are a small community, now let's prove it, with my new app "MEET THE NEIGHBORS." The app will display multiple links to click on for one to enter different real time discussions throughout the day. I believe that a security component should be part of the app in that only people who can prove that they live in the city are allowed to join in and enjoy the community face to face engagement. With so many wonderful people in Santa Monica (I meet them all the time) this will be a great opportunity for the city to pioneer deeper relations between residents. Finally, science has proven that one of the key factors for longevity in human beings is an active social life and as such, I believe my app will also benefit the health of many Santa Monica residents. |

| What needs to happen to launch your product? Please list all resources (hardware, software, licensing, legal/regulatory, funding, partnership or support from the City, data, etc.) required to launch your program. | A platform needs to be created (they already exist to some degree) that serves as a video chat room. The challenge will be scale, what happens when more than a handful of residents want to participate in the conversation. Innovation might be necessary for the scaling component. |
| How realistic is it for your idea to be implemented by early 2018? Please describe what resources (if any) you will need in order to ensure a working product by early next year. | The technology already exists. My idea needs a great roll out via social and print media and that is something I have enormous expertise in. |
