| Describe your idea and how it can help Santa Monica | Within the City of Santa Monica lies one of the best colleges within our region, the Santa Monica College. Yet, as mentioned on the Hack The Beach (HTB) website, many residents of Santa Monica do not have either the resources and the knowledge nor the time to start college or take continuing education courses to increase their earning potential and thus, their economic well being. My team will work with City of Santa Monica to assist first time college goers to show them how easy it is to be a college student by helping them navigate through college admissions and requirements as well as assisting people who are already in the workforce of the continuing education classes available. A platform with the right links will be made available to students to access the information needed and make it easy for this life transitioning event. Information will include financial aid, classes, career insights and available resources such as scholarships. |

Please list all resources (hardware, software, licensing, legal/regulatory, funding, partnership or support from the City, data, etc.) required to launch your program. | Support from the city to get Santa Monica College (SMC) more involved in marketing their educational courses to the SMC community. A platform that makes it easy for students to access information and resources available. |
| How realistic is it for your idea to be implemented by early 2018? Please describe what resources (if any) you will need in order to ensure a working product by early next year. | Very realistic. Resources needed are simple. We are not inventing the wheel. The education system is there, the financial aid is available, SMC already have lots of online classes offered that can meet lots of students' need due to their time restraints and study preferences. All what we really need is "informing" people about the existence of the system and make it easy for them to take the first step in college education, especially students from low income families to brighten their future. |
