Project Description

Describe the location and your goals for your Decorative Crosswalk. Our proposed location is in the city of Northridge. As a community agency charter through California State University, Northridge, Our organization runs comprehensive services to help survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence, and child maltreatment which began out of CSUN and still provides services out of our Northridge office for 32 years (both on and off campus). Our goal is to create a synergy of community connectedness with us as an agency and CSUN, the institution that we are founded through. We chose this location as it is near our office and CSUN and we want to spread awareness as well as help create a community of survivors of violence. It is important for us to create a space and community where we break the stigma of seeking help when in need. We plan to have a decorative crosswalk reflect the colors of our agency.
